Paul chats to Dr Deepak Ravindran who explains what Long Covid is, the treatment for Long Covid, the symptoms and the preventative measures that can be taken.
Dr Ravindran has over 20 years of experience in acute and chronic pain management.
He is the clinical lead for pain medicine at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.
He firmly believes that pain conditions should be treated as early as possible, with the appropriate use of multidisciplinary techniques to improve patient quality of life.
In 2020, Deepak helped set up the Berkshire Longcovid Integrated service, one of 90 such clinics in the UK to look after Longcovid patients.
The Longcovid Integrated service at The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, is in association with the Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (BHFT) and the Berkshire West Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) for patients who are continuing to suffer from post-COVID syndrome (Long Covid).
