Life on our waterways is often a transient one, always having to move on, making it difficult to access places such as doctors. It can be difficult to make friends in an ever changing world and can become lonely. Often, it has been, due to circumstances, a choice of our ex service personnel, who have had life experiences many of us could not begin to comprehend. A rainy day, isolation, a small place to live and few friends- it can change lives drastically. It is not always the idyllic life imagined.
Mark is a Waterway Chaplin who helps signpost many of the people living on our waterways to the help they need.
