The Friends of Newtown Cemetery have researched a large number of people buried in the cemetery providing information for family members and genealogists.

The Oral History Project has interviewed retired employees of two prominent engineering firms in Newbury, Plenty and Elliotts and also the Kennet and Avon canal.
