Wokefield Common

Wokefield Common is a delightful place with a well-connected network of paths that meander through tall pine and broadleaf woodland, past ponds, heather, and lush wet gullies.

Dragonflies

The Dragonfly Pond and Pullen’s Pond are home to a variety of dragonflies and damselflies and are definitely worth a visit, especially in the summer and early autumn.

Heathland

Regular thinning of the woodland helps the heathland thrive by allowing the heather to expand, creating a habitat for reptiles, butterflies, and perhaps even a few woodlarks.

Wokefield Common is lovingly cared for by the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust, in partnership with West Berkshire Council and the landowner.
