What is on at Yattendon Estate

There is always plenty going on in and around the  Yattendon Estate.

The landscape is varied and there are walking routes to suit all ages and fitness levels.

The Ridgeway forms their northern boundary and is extremely popular with walkers.

All rights of way are well marked and the Estate works closely with West Berkshire Council and local footpath wardens.

The Estate has also granted public access over Ashampstead (A Stroll around Ashampstead Common , Veteran Trees on Ashampstead Common ) and Burnt Hill Commons(Veteran Trees on Burnt Hill Common ).

The commons management is overseen by a committee of local residents with input from the West Berkshire Countryside Society with whom the Estate works closely.

Various Parish Path leaflets have been produced by the West Berkshire Countryside Society:

There are many well marked bridleways across the estate that are regularly enjoyed by local horse riders, from open down land to the north of the Estate and pretty woodland to the south.

Christmas Trees and the Christmas Experience
With over 50 years of experience growing Christmas Trees you can be assured that your Yattendon tree will be of the highest quality.

They have one of the largest selections of Christmas Trees in England.

All their trees are homegrown and from sustainable stock and they hand pick each one for sale through their Festive Shop.

Picking the tree is an important part of any family Christmas and this is why they want to make the experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

At their festive shop you will find hundreds of trees on display, all different types and sizes as well as all the decorations and lights to make it spectacular.

Combine this with festive performances from local singers and musicians, delicious food and drink and a fun, friendly atmosphere you are sure to leave in the Christmas spirit!

Delivery is available if the perfect tree is too big for your car.

They also have a range of FESTIVE ACTIVITIES and performances happening at the Festive Shop.

The Royal Oak

A destination pub on many families list for generations.

The Royal Oak is a country dining pub with a menu that is constantly changing with the seasons, using the very best ingredients, cooked perfectly and served with a smile.

Following a full refurbishment in 2017, the pub has two styles – the traditional part where you can unwind in a warm and earthy environment, with 2 log fires, wonderful oak beams and bespoke oak tables or the new Orangery extension, overlooking the the kitchen with bi-fold doors leading out onto the landscaped gardens with sofa terrace, dining under the pergola all set around the Victorian Walled garden.
