The Watermill Theatre today announces further corporate partnerships with existing supporters, and a brand-new partner.
Long-standing supporters of the Watermill, Savills, return as e-ticket sponsor for another year.
Established in 2008, Newbury based estate agents Savills provide a friendly, professional approach to residential, letting and rural property matters in and around Newbury.
For several years now, Savills have supported the Watermill’s pledge to transition to e-tickets and reduce the environmental impact of printing tickets where possible.
Corporate Club member Dickins Hopgood Chidley Solicitors have increased their support to sponsor a ticket raffle – offering a package of tickets and a hotel stay in Plymouth to celebrate the UK return of The Lord of the Rings.
Following a sellout run at the Watermill in 2023, the show has since been taking over the world with runs in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
The Lord of the Rings will be coming to Theatre Royal Plymouth for a limited two-week run in October 2025, and fans can enter the raffle to win tickets by visiting the Watermill website, by 28 August 7pm.

The Watermill also welcomes a new partner – West Berkshire Injury Clinic, who will be supporting performers with treatments throughout the year, ensuring they are in peak physical condition and able to deliver brilliant performances to Watermill audiences.
With a clinic in Newbury and Hungerford, West Berkshire Injury Clinic specialises in Musculo-skeletal problems and sports injuries and offers a caring and personal approach to recovery and pain management.

These new partnerships strengthen a thriving corporate programme offering various sponsorship and membership opportunities to businesses of all sizes.

Our long-standing supporters Horsey Lightly Solicitors are currently sponsoring our summer musical Jesus Christ Superstar, and are enjoying a host of marketing benefits, including sharing their brand with our biggest audience of the year.
In addition, the theatre is seeking a sponsor for its Christmas show, The Little Mermaid, which provides an excellent opportunity to support its work with young people and put a company’s brand in front of family audiences; livery branding on its company vehicles which travel extensively in the local area, plus a host of bespoke packages.

The Watermill Theatre is a small but mighty 200- seat theatre, set in idyllic gardens and nestled on the banks of the river Lambourn in rural West Berkshire, southeast England.
In 2024, the Watermill was awarded the prestigious title of ‘Theatre of the Year’ jointly with the National Theatre.
This award, recognising excellence in British theatre, was bestowed on the Watermill Theatre for its continued ambition as an independent charity, and the success of their 2023 production of The Lord of the Rings.
This multi award-winning production, the Watermill’s most ambitious to date, has subsequently transferred to Chicago, Auckland, and Australia (tour) before it returns to the UK in October 2025.
Reaching far beyond the 200 seats in its auditorium, the Watermill’s productions regularly transfer to the West End or tour the UK and internationally, including Calamity Jane, Spike, Bleak Expectations, Amelie the Musical, Tell Me on a Sunday, and Crazy for You.
With a core belief in the transformative power of the arts, the Watermill Theatre also runs a comprehensive outreach programme, working with children and young people, those from low- income backgrounds, and isolated or displaced communities.
