Visitor Experience
Today’s the day that they open the doors to their brand-new visitor experience at Shaw House!
They invite you to come and see the House as you’ve never seen it before with newly dressed rooms showcasing life from Tudor to Edwardian times.
Along with their permanent exhibition telling the story of the House and their special exhibitions ‘Dressed for Battle’ and ‘Dressed for Shaw’.
Entry fees to the House will be applicable from today; £9 adults, £6 children and concessions, under 4s are free.
They also offer a discounted rate for West Berkshire residents at £6.
The House, exhibition and grounds will be open every day until 30 September (excluding good Friday).

The house and garden improvements are being delivered with thanks to funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Visitors are also welcome to enjoy the gardens free of charge, the café and gift shop will also be open to all visitors selling homemade treats and local products.
Shaw House
Often described as a hidden gem, they are located in tranquil surroundings on the north edge of Newbury.
Shaw House is a Grade I listed multi-purpose event venue which is also open for the public to explore during school holidays and at weekends between February and September every year.
