The Six Bells is a family run pub and restaurant, which has been lovingly renovated in 2020 to bring a modern feeling to this historic building.

They offer local draft ales and lagers, an extensive wine list, as well as a delicious seasonal dining menu.

Relax by the fireplace for coffee, in the sunny conservatory for breakfast or in the modern restaurant for dinner, with views into the open kitchen and beer garden.

They are a dog friendly pub and inn, with muddy paws welcome in the main bar, snug and conservatory.

At The Six Bells they are currently working with three contemporary artists.

All of the Art is for sale and on display throughout their pub.

Their Chef

The kitchen is led by head chef and owner, Luke Woods.

Luke prides himself on using fresh local produce to create a range of interesting, tasty, seasonal dishes as well as pub classics.

The menu changes regularly depending on the availability of seasonal produce.

They are happy to cater for all allergies and intolerances and will have a range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available.

All their produce is sourced locally, using well known suppliers such as Vicars game and Fisher of Newbury, with the intention of broadening their local suppliers in the future.

They are interested in creating a sustainable menu, with many vegetarian and vegan options.

They pride themselves in being a family friendly business, all children are welcome, they offer a great homemade children’s menu – catering for any dietary/ allergy requirements.

Doggy Brunch

Every first Saturday of the month they hold their very own doggy brunch.

They all meet up at the pub for coffees and a nibble at 10am before heading off for a walk around Awberry Farm and the countryside for roughly an hour before heading back for brunch all freshly made by Chef Luke.

They do recommend bringing wellies or boots with you as it can get very muddy on the farm

Quiz Night

To support local charities they hold a monthly quiz here at The Six Bells every second Thursday of the month.

Everyone is welcome, they accept teams of up to 6 and it costs £3 per person to enter with all profits going to local charities.

The quiz starts at 8pm but why not make an evening of it and stop and have dinner or a few drinks with them before hand.

They like to end the month with live music every last Saturday of the month.

They are open from 10am Friday and Saturday for coffee and pastries!

Customers can enjoy a light morning snack and hot drink in their bright conservatory area.

They also provide takeaway for all those who are on the go/ passing through.

Why not take a walk around  the countryside

They are open from 10am every Saturday and lay on a special brunch menu from Full English to Eggs Florentine.
