AN AWARD WINNING CHEESE SHOP
The Pangbourne Cheese Shop
Welcome to The Pangbourne Cheese Shop!

At The Pangbourne Cheese Shop, they’re proud to be an independent business run by the delightful duo, Ali & Jen Grimstone-Jones, along with their wonderful team who share a love for fantastic cheese.

With over 100 cheeses for you to try, whether you’re looking for your old favourites or eager to explore something new, they’ve got you covered!

Their customers are their top priority, and they love spreading their passion for cheese at every chance they get.

They strive to create a warm and enjoyable shopping experience in their cosy shop, and they’re genuinely excited about the recognition they’ve received in recent years.

In 2017, they were honored to win Cheese Counter of the Year at the World Cheese Awards.

Then, in 2019, they earned the title of Cheese Shop of the Year at the Farm Shop and Deli Awards and also received the Regional Winner accolade across all categories that year.

They were thrilled to be the national runner-up for Cheese Shop of The Year in 2020, awarded by the Guild of Fine Food.

Besides their fantastic cheese selection, they also offer a delightful array of chutneys, crackers, beers, ciders, and wines that perfectly complement any cheeseboard.

They take joy in showcasing amazing products from skilled local artisans as well as talented producers from further afield.

The door to their cheese shop at 17 Reading Road has a paved slope from the pavement and a small threshold approximately 3cm high.

The door is wide enough for a wheelchair.

The door opens and closes manually and staff will always provide help for customers.

The Loose Larder at 15 Reading Road has a raised door frame to step over onto a small area followed by two steps down into the shop with a hand rail to the right.

Unfortunately this shop is not wheelchair friendly but their staff will bring goods and shopping to the door and they are working towards a home delivery service.

The Tasting Rooms are upstairs at 15 Reading Road.

There is a raised door frame to step over as you enter, followed by two steps down with handrails both sides.

Once in the well lit hallway you make your way up 13 stairs with handrails on either side.

At the top you will find the Tasting Rooms and toilets.

There is no lift access in this building.

Customers who have impaired mobility or who need additional support are asked to book their Tasting Sessions by phoning 0118 984 3323 so that Cheese Etc staff can understand their needs and make provision to accommodate them.
