The Packhorse, Mapledurham

Mapledurham is a quiet, rural village on the river Thames, hidden away down a steep, narrow lane. The village formed part of the landscape of The Wind in the Willows, and if you visit you can appreciate how extraordinarily well author Kenneth Grahame has captured the essence and feel of the place.

Their passion lies in finding quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. The menus have a spine of classic British dishes complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world.  They upload them to their web site each day before 12 noon so that you may peruse them at your leisure.
