Discovering Music Together

We have another jam packed week coming up from GSMC with live shows and new releases, including our Acoustic Café Showcase at the Hope & Anchor tonight (Monday) and at The Newtown Pippin (Wednesday), New Music Thursday takes place at The Couch, Bracknell this week and Wilde Sundays returns to South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell on Sunday afternoon.
 
The excellent new album ‘Footsteps’ by Chloe et Les Vaillantes is released on Wednesday. The Lost Trades continue their UK Tour promoting their new album ‘Petrichor’ with dates in Birmingham, London, Bath, Bristol & Exeter, Tu-kay & Ryan have shows in Northampton and Earls Barton, The Gillies perform at Talking Rhythm, London, Gavin Thomas performs Songs from the Summerhouse online on Tuesday and don’t forget to take a listen to our weekly New Original Spotify Playlist for some great new releases.

The Lost Trades are a trio of Wiltshire based singer songwriters (Jamie R Hawkins, Phil Cooper and Tamsin Quin) who, brought together by a mutual love of folk and roots music, have joined forces for a three part harmony, modern folk adventure. Performing both collectively and individually penned songs, The Lost Trades tell carefully crafted stories using an array of stringed instruments and light percussion, all lovingly stitched together with soaring vocal harmonies.

The Acoustic Café is a monthly showcase taking place at The Newtown Pippin starting at 7.30pm which this month features live music from The Celebration Hour featuring Alfie Griffin and Jamie from Cloudcat , wonderful original songs and harmonies from Alite, singer & songwriter Paul Alexander Low who is currently recording the follow up to his critically acclaimed debut album. Taking influences from singer songwriters, anthemic stadium bands and cinematic soundscapes, The Tim Shez Band deliver delicate and intimate original and cover songs that draw you in and take you with them and catchy Americana songs from Downtown Roundabout.
