The Medicine Festival 2024: Bridging Cultures and Inspiring Change- a festival for the planet and the people
They’re all about bridging cultures and inspiring positive change for our planet and our people.
They want to live in a world where we cherish nature, celebrate differences, and uphold peace.
At Medicine Festival, they believe in the power of gratitude, reciprocity, and guardianship for all life.
Bringing communities together is what they’re all about.
They welcome wisdom keepers, indigenous communities, artists, and solutionaries of all traditions to inspire and ignite a deeper understanding of how we can live in harmony and support each other in creating the world we want to see – an equitable and thriving one.
Join them in Carrying Peace
They know that peace is the heart’s deepest longing.
In these challenging times, we all need to develop the qualities that lead to peace – in ourselves and our communities.
Let’s all aspire to become carriers of peace!
This year, they’re excited to have Hiroki Okano, an elder from the Japanese Shinto tradition, bringing the Peace Flame to their gathering.
This flame was lit from the atomic fires after the nuclear attack on Hiroshima in 1945 and has been kept alight ever since.
From a symbol of grief, vengeance, and anger, the flame became a message of peace, acceptance, and forgiveness.
Can we all find the spirit of kindness, gentleness, compassion, and patience to support ourselves and each other as we walk this path of peace?
They believe we can!
At Medicine Festival, we’re committed to working in harmony with the land to create a regenerative future with a smaller environmental footprint on earth.
They’re excited to gather beautiful souls on a journey to a more beautiful, equitable, and thriving world.
ACCESSIBILITY
Festival sites are not always the easiest places for people with disabilities and accessibility needs to navigate.
So, they are doing their best to put things in place to make your experience as trouble free as possible.
They have a dedicated Accessibility Lead to be a point of contact on site for anyone with a disability.
They will have two disabled toilets on site – one in the Accessible Campsite, and one in the main festival site.
Although they do not have an Accessible Viewing Area for the stages their Area Guardians will make sure you are taken care of and have a good line of sight to the entertainment.
They can provide large print sitemaps and schedules should you need one – please contact them in advance.
Do note that there will not be metal tracks for wheelchairs to get around, and some of the ground is rough field and some paths are a bit uneven.
If they have wet weather the ground will also be slippy and this will make it harder for you to navigate around site.
Food & Drink
They have their own incredibly talented in-house Food & Beverage team at Medicine, who run the Medicine Café, the Pizza Spot ‘Andreas’, Focaccia Bar, Karmaceuticals Bars, and the Ka’Kau bars.
At Medicine, they believe that food is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle, and they are committed to a food offering that supports both individual and community health.
Their food philosophy centres around the idea that food is medicine, and we believe that the quality of the food we eat has a direct impact on our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
Theyare proud to support regenerative food production practices that prioritise sustainable and ethical food production methods, such as organic and biodynamic farming, and regenerative agriculture.
By prioritising these methods, they not only ensure that our food is nutritious and healthy, but they also support the health of our planet and the communities that produce our food.
All of their food is vegan, which reflects their commitment to promoting a plant-based diet for both personal and planetary health.
Their chefs are skilled at creating delicious and nourishing meals that are both satisfying and good for you, using fresh and locally-sourced ingredients.
They also believe that food is a powerful tool for bringing people together in community and celebration, which is why they celebrate the power of food to connect people, nourish their bodies, and heal our planet.
Join them at Medicine, where they celebrate the healing power of food and the positive impact it can have on both our personal health and the health of our planet.
Nudity is acceptable.
