Last December, the Watermill Theatre received an immense amount of support from our amazing community, resulting in 13 nominations in the 2023 Broadway World Awards.

They were thrilled beyond measure, and the team couldn’t have been more grateful for the recognition.

With that being said, it brings them immense joy and pleasure to announce their much-deserved victories in the following categories:

The Lord of The Rings Awards

– Best Costume Design of a New Production of a Play or Musical, awarded to Simon Kenny for “The Lord of the Rings”.

– Best Direction of a New Production of a Musical, awarded to Paul Hart for “The Lord of the Rings”.

– Best Direction of a New Production of a Play, awarded to Paul Hart for “Notes from a Small Island”.

– Best Lighting Design of a New Production of a Play or Musical, awarded to Rory Beaton for “The Lord of the Rings”.

– Best Musical Direction of a New Production of a Play or Musical, awarded to Mark Aspinall for “The Lord of the Rings”.

– Best New Production of a Musical for “The Lord of the Rings”.

– Best New Regional or Touring Production for “The Lord of the Rings”.

– Best Set Design of a New Production of a Play or Musical, awarded to Simon Kenny for “The Lord of the Rings”.

– Best Video Design of a New Production of a Play or Musical, awarded to George Reeve for “The Lord of the Rings”.
