Based at The Old Rectory, a beautiful wedding venue in Berkshire,

The Little Play Lounge is a safe space full of indoor play equipment made out of eco-friendly wood for little ones from 0 – 3.5 years. 

Awaken your babies senses at The Little Play Lounge; Flooded with natural sunlight and surrounded by lush greenery from their gardens, their baby zone features premium mats for their comfort, sensory toys and a beautiful black & white zone to encourage cognitive development. 

From the moment your child can move they will be able to explore their eco friendly wooden climbing equipment and once standing use their busy boards positioned perfectly on their windows.

Each board has a different manipulative activity that targets a different learning outcome, from encouraging hand-eye coordination to problem solving.

Whilst The Little Play Lounge is a safe space for babies and toddlers to explore and have fun, it’s also a great opportunity for you to socialise with other parents and guardians. 

Grab a speciality coffee, delicious cake or join them for a lunch.

They cater for all ages, including baby pouches & little one’s picnic bags. 

* Please park in their designated car park on arrival and leave your prams / pushchairs in the car as unfortunately they don’t have enough space to store them whilst you play.

If you chose to bring one as you haven’t got enough hands, it will have to be left outside. 

* Please head towards the venue, before you get to the main front door, turn left and enter through their Orangery where you will be checked in at our play lounge front desk. 

The Little Play Lounge 

* Your session at The Little Play Lounge is for 1.5 hours.

At the end of your session, please leave the play area promptly as their staff will need to re-set the play lounge for the next session or close for the day.

* They have a designated area for you to leave bags / shoes / car seats.

* Please ensure everyone attending has socks on whilst in the play area. 

* Children should not be left unattended in the play area at any time.

* If you wish to take photos, please ensure you are mindful, and any photos do not contain other children.

* Parents / carers are responsible at all times for their children’s welfare and safety as The Little Play Lounge is not a childcare facility.

* Unfortunately they do not offer refunds or swap sessions, please ensure you have booked the correct date and time before checking out.

* It is not an option to bring your own food, snacks & drinks into the venue, they cater for all ages.

Open Play Sessions

A 1.5 hour play session 

They have 3 sessions a day so you can work around your little ones busy schedule!

Each person entering The Little Play Lounge will need a ticket to enter.

You are able to book a maximum of 6 tickets.

For larger groups, please contact them.

 Their table capacity within the play lounge is limited to 6 people per table, including babies.

Our play lounge offers drinks and food. We have speciality Moon Roast coffee, selection of teas and soft drinks. Our bar also serves alcohol from 11:30am should you wish to have a glass of fizz! We have a range of ready to eat sandwiches for adults along with baby pouches for our youngest customers which can be used with our silicone bibs and spoons and our lovely little play lounge picnic bags for toddlers, this includes a wrap and 3 snacks. All our little ones wraps are dairy, soya and egg free. We ask that your own food, snacks and drinks are not brought into the venue. ​

 New Mum Club

​Thursday afternoon for a 1.5 hour session; exclusively for new mums and babies up to 12 weeks old!​

They know how hard the endless newborn days are, surrounded by nappies, running on no sleep and feeling like you’ve lost who you were.

So they want to help, come and relax with them!

Let your baby have a look at new surroundings, play in their black & white corner, chill out on their baby mats and simulate them with their sensory toys.

Get yourself comfy on their sofas & find yourself a support system by meeting like minded mums.

Try their speciality Moon Roast coffee and delicious cakes – give yourself a well deserved pick me up!

 Baby Club

Tuesday afternoon – 1.5 hour session; exclusively for parents and babies from 12 weeks old to 9 months old!

You’ve left the newborn bubble, now what?

Look forward to your babies milestones, from giggling, rolling, crawling, weaning there’s such a joy in watching your precious baby exploring the world and develop! 

Let your baby experience new people, get confidence in playing or have a chill out on their mats – make friends with similar aged babies and find yourself a support system with like minded parents!

In February 2023,  they started researching the “next” seat for their nearly 3 year old.

At the time, he was forward facing in a well known spin seat.

Naively, they planned on putting him in a high backed booster so my 10 month old could go in his spin seat.

A friend shared a heartbreaking story of a mum losing her two youngest children in a crash, all because they were forward facing.

After cleaning up their tears, they began researching and turned my son around, surprisingly, my strong minded toddler accepted as they told him that his job was to watch out for tractors and make sure everyone was driving safely.

Their research took me to crash test videos, more heart breaking stories and of course the Swedish Plus Test where they discovered Axkid.

They decided it was time they could do more, help educate the parents attending their sessions and become advocates for car seat safety.

As a mums, we spend 9 months growing our precious babies and doing our best to nurture them earthside, this shouldn’t be forgotten when we get in a car! 

How it works… 

They have partnered with Axkid, we have a range of demo seats. 

They are more than happy to show you the models, explain each seat including weight / height limits and measure your child.

After discussing your requirements and working out your child’s percentile, you will try out some seats in your car, let your little one see how comfy there are and go from there.
