The GAP Festival

The GAP Festival is a celebration of the Arts and Entertainment that started as an ambitious cultural project in 2014.  After the first Festival, the word spread and now a Festival takes place in June every other year in the beautiful Goring Gap villages of Goring and Streatley.  It brings outstanding performers and artists together with events encompassing art, music, literature, comedy, theatre, science and more.

A conversation with a former Prime Minister (oooh!)

The Church & State: Uneasy Bedfellows? will be a special and unique event taking place at St Thomas’ Church in Goring. Two years after the anniversary of the death of Thomas Becket, this conversation between the Bishop of Oxford (a member of the House of Lords) and a former British Prime Minister (who we are sworn to secrecy on!) will discuss how church and state co-exist today. Wondering who it might be? You’ll just have to trust us – this event is not to be missed!

Tickets are going fast, so book your place now.

SING 2 comes to a screen (literally) near you!

Children and families across the villages have been voting for which movie will be screened as part of the Children’s Film Festival in the late afternoon.

We can confirm that the votes have been counted, and the movie will be SING 2!

Join us and the ‘paparazzi’ on the red carpet for this red carpet film premiere extravaganza. We will also screen the short films made by local primary, secondary and sixth form creatives, as part of the Children’s Film Festival, and announce the winners. You can then stay on, grab a drink and some popcorn and sit back for this family favourite. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Book your ticket now.
