Set in the rural hamlet of Old Burghclere and surrounded by scenic countryside, The Dew Pond offers a relaxing and intimate atmosphere.

Once a pair of 16th century cottages, the building retains its oak beams and fireplace from the original structure, bringing a little piece of rustic charm to the interior.

From the oak flooring to the crisp linen, the fine art to the scenery, they take care to create a comfortable ambience with an emphasis on high quality.

Their friendly front of house team provides highly professional yet informal, unobtrusive service to make your evening an enjoyable one.

The Dew Pond is proud to be an independent, family-owned restaurant that has been owned and operated by Keith and Julie Marshall since 1989.

They make changes to the menu almost every day, to take advantage of seasonal produce as it enters the market.

Please call them for details of the current menu, or if you have any dietary needs.

They make their own bread each day, canapés and chocolates, they have built up a great relationship with their suppliers, some of which they have used since the start.

Their fish & shellfish are sourced from Newlyn and Brixham, Game from the farm across the field, locally reared beef, pork & lamb and homegrown garden herbs.

The wine list has been chosen with an emphasis on quality & interest rather than quantity, they also have a good selection of Fine Wines for those that are interested.

In the summer months, they invite their customers to enjoy an aperitif in the attractive surroundings of the landscaped garden.

Their picturesque, decked terrace is framed by manicured hedging, features comfortable rattan furniture and boasts scenic views of Watership Down, Beacon Hill and of course, the adjacent pond from which they take theirname.
