You will discover the rich food traditions of Antakya, shaped by Arab, Anatolian, Armenian and Mediterranean influences.Â
Learn to prepare authentic dishes, mezze, dessert, vibrant spice blends and age – old techniques, stories behind the food and its deep cultural roots passed down through generations.
You will learn to cook:Â Â
- Mutebbel – Roast aubergine mezze with lemony tahini yoghurt topped with chilli walnuts and sesame seeds.
- Belen Tava – Chunks of meltingly sweet lamb cooked with thyme, peppers and tomatoes
- Kepse Pilav – A fragrant jasmine rice dish with carrots, raisons, cardamom and cinnamon
- Cennet camuru – Pistachio and kadaifi noodles halva desert in aromatic syrup topped with nuts and clotted creamÂ
For lunch you will enjoy fruits of your labour, accompanied by a delicious glass of wine.
