Shanghai Street Food
A night-market inspired cooking class for ages 8–15 years
This exciting class introduces young cooks to the sights, sounds and flavours of Shanghai street food.
Children will:
Make Sheng Jian Bao — fluffy buns with a golden, crispy base — learning the pan-fry and steam method
Roll and cook scallion pancakes, crispy on the outside and soft inside
Prepare quick sesame noodles and a fresh cucumber side to complete the meal
Practice shaping, sealing and cooking techniques used by street food vendors
This is a skills-focused class that’s full of sizzle, steam and confidence-building moments — and everyone eats together at the end.
