The police will never contact you asking you to withdraw from your bank or purchase high value items for them to collect.

📞If you think that you may have been a victim of any type of scam, then contact your bank immediately,  and report it to @actionfrauduk. 

 


Fraud is the most common crime in the UK, accounting for almost 40% of all crime in England and Wales and it is getting more sophisticated.

If you can tick off one or more of the following in any suspicious post you’ve received, it’s probably a scam:

❌Bad spelling or poor grammar
❌A request out of the blue asking for money
❌You’re asked to pay up front to receive what’s on offer

22,530 people reported that their online accounts had been hacked in 2023.

Make sure to – 

✅Use a strong and different password for your email and social media accounts
✅Turn on 2-Step Verification (2SV) for your email and social media accounts.
