Lithuanian pianist and rising star Rokas Valuntonis has been praised for his “liquidity of sound” and “devilish performances” and has drawn admiration for his imaginative interpretations and striking virtuosity.

A laureate of more than 20 international competitions, Valuntonis won 1st Prize at the 2018 Campillos International Piano Competition (Spain) and previous victories include both the 2013 International Music Competition “Societa Umanitaria” (Italy) and the 2010 Nordic Piano Competition (Sweden).

Valuntonis has performed all over Europe, including Denmark, Finland, France, and Portugal, in venues such as Milton Court (Barbican Centre), La Sala Verdi, The Wallace Collection, Lithuanian National Philharmonic Hall, and La Sala Casella Accademia Filarmonica Romana.

He has also performed with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Lund Symphony Orchestra, St Christopher Chamber Orchestra, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, and Panevėžys Chamber Orchestra

The 2025/26 season sees Valuntonis present solo recitals around Europe in venues and festivals such as Lithuanian National Philharmonic (Lithuania), Thomas Mann Festival (Lithuania), Dorchester Festival (UK), Rzeszow Philharmonic (Poland), Teatro de Braganca (Portugal).
Rokas joined the City Music Foundation Artist Programme in September 2017.

The biennial Dorchester-on-Thames Festival is one of Oxfordshire’s leading Festivals based in and around the stunning location of Dorchester Abbey.

Since 2005 the Festival has regularly attracted over 5,000 people each year, from serious followers of the arts to schools, families and children of all ages and has raised significant profile and £350,000 for Dorchester Abbey and local charities.
