Pumpkin Copper Foiled Stained Glass

10:30 to 2pm – £65
This workshop is suitable for Adults and older teens (15+).
You will learn the basics of copperfoil stained glass making.
How to cut, grind, foil and solder glass.
Once you’ve got the hang of this you will craft a beautiful pumpkin copper foiled stained glass decoration.
Display your finished piece in your home to bring colour and light to any space, or gift it to someone special.
Tools, materials and safety equipment, will be provided.

These sessions receive funding in various ways so they can pay the artists delivering the sessions fairly.
There is always an exhibition to see at City Arts, and they are free to visit!
They offer affordable exhibition space to artists and collaborate with local schools and projects to showcase creativity.
There are opportunities for artists to submit work for their Open Exhibitions each on a particular theme.

They are proud of their involvement in the community and run seasonal free and low cost events.
With their commitment to the community, they have a strong ethos of equality and inclusion.
Their flagship Chalkfest event takes place every August – they take over the Market Square in Newbury and enjoy brightening up the pavement!
A competition of the chalk drawings is judged by a local artist with prizes for different age groups.

Coptic Bookbinding
BOOKBINDING WORKSHOP WITH ISABEL CARMONA
Sunday 18 October 2026 – 10:30am to 3pm – £60
This workshop is suitable for Teens and Adults.
Make a beautiful A5 sketchbook with hard covers using the coptic binding method.
The book opens fully flat and there will be various map papers and other colourful options as choices for the cover.
