Crime Prevention – Protect Your Bicycle There has been a few reports of bicycles being stolen in the West Berkshire area. Here are some tips on how to keep your bicycle safe. Fit a good bike lock, such as one with a Sold Secure rating, and attach your bike to something secure Always lock your bicycle, even if you are leaving it for a couple of minutes If you have quick-release wheels or parts that are easy to remove, lock them up as well or take them with you Have your bike’s frame security-marked or etched and a photo Keep your bike in a secure garage or shed when at home Register your bike with schemes such as Immobilise www.immobilise.com Report bike thieves – If you have any information about anyone involved in the theft of bicycles please contact Thames Valle Police by calling 101 or online www.thamesvalley.police.uk
