Perspective Matters is a boutique management consultancy that specialises in providing actionable advisory for senior leaders across strategy, sales and leadership effectiveness.
Perspective Matters started in 2019 after Jim had spent almost 25 years working in sales, marketing, strategy, and consulting.
During that time, he gained experience in various aspects of business.
Although he spent most of his career in the telecoms and tech sectors, he actually began his journey in the world of adventure off-road motorsport after completing a modern languages degree.
He has worked with startups and multinational corporations, led teams both big and small, worked from home and traveled the world.
He has been employed, self-employed, and even made redundant a few times.
Along the way, Â he has been blessed to work with some truly inspiring leaders who have given him invaluable insights into what it takes to succeed.
As for his approach to business, let’s just say his love of growing businesses and my extensive career have shaped it significantly. I was incredibly fortunate to be part of the team that created Virgin Media – an unforgettable experience that showed him that with trust and the right support, anything is possible.
He has also learnt that that if you are given enough trust (and rope) you can be a dynamo of success no matter how young you are.
In other companies I learned that meritocracies are far better than hierarchies and that great leaders can inspire teams to move mountains. I did also work in environments that were beaurocratic and stifling – painful at the time, but now gold dust when talking to leadership teams about creating motivational, high performance, environments for their people.
So why did he start Perspective Matters?
Because he wanted to share his successes with others.
His team is made up of incredibly talented associates, all of whom he has known for many years.
They are all former executives and experts in their respective fields.
But what he loves about them more than anything is their shared values of honesty, passion, enthusiasm, and realism.
They put their all into each and every client they work with, and they absolutely love what they do!
