Swings and Smiles are open 7 days a week and do a lot more than you might think! Family Play, Respite, Mini’s, Youth Clubs, Independence Groups SIB Support and Parent Support.
Since opening their doors for the first time in June 2014 Swings and Smiles have gone from strength to strength. Over 800 families are registered to play.
Swings & Smiles offers play sessions for children with special needs and their whole family at their centre in Thatcham. They have specialist play resources to enable children with a wide range of disabilities to play with siblings and other family members in a secure and safe environment.
They provide many opportunities for play, cooking, art, sport and much more.
They have a personal care room as well as fixed and portable hoists.
Their garden is totally secure and the building is on one level with lots of space outside to eat if you’d like to bring a picnic.
There is also a separate and fully equipped area for siblings to be able to enjoy some time for themselves.

They create an environment in which those with special needs and their families can be themselves and grow together.
