Cyber Crime continues to use in scale and complexity, affecting essential services, businesses and private individuals alike. Cyber Crime costs the UK billions of pounds and threatens national security.

National Cyber Security

The best online site for Cyber Protect advice is via the National Cyber Security Centre which gives information to a variety of audience types, Individuals, Sole Traders, Small business, Larger enterprises, Charities  and top tips to ensure you are doing all you can to secure you and your family online. Action Fraud

Fraud is when trickery is used to gain a dishonest advantage, which is often financial, over another person. Cybercrime is any criminal act dealing with computers and networks.

Organised Crime Unit

The Cyber Pursue team have responsibility for investigating serious and cross-border cybercrime. They work with regional, national and international partners to do so. The eForensic team provide specialist capabilities in the examination of digital technologies both to the Cyber Pursue team and our constituent Police Services.

 You cannot report incidents directly – cases are taken only by referral from Action Fraud.

The national Cyber Protect network are responsible for delivering the Protect element of the National Cyber Security Strategy. They provide FREE cyber security advice, tabletop exercises and cyber awareness presentations to businesses in the region, as well as to local government and the charitable sector. We have comprehensive advice for individuals in their personal and professional lives as to how to improve cyber security and safety online and you can Find out more about protecting your organisation from cyberattack and being prepared for and resilient to cyber incidents

Locally, we are part of a wider South East family of forces and the Regional Organised Crime Unit have provided a web site with information on cybercrime.

If anyone would like a Community Cyber and Fraud presentation that lasts 1hr or indeed if a group of local businesses  would like a presentation, these last 2 hrs.
