Paul Presents Cyber Protect with Hiro Taylor
Hiro Taylor is the cyber protect officer from the South East Crime Unit of Thames Valley Police Force and chats to Paul about keeping yourself safe from scams and hackers on line, plus updates on AI and a lot more……
The Cyber Protect network exists across the UK and provides FREE cyber awareness training sessions to organisations including business, education, public services, local government and the charitable sector.
They can deliver these sessions in person, if you can provide a suitable venue, or virtually.
For virtual presentations, the limit for MS Teams sessions is 250 attendees, for Zoom it is 500 attendees.
The presentation is delivered by fully trained Police Officers and Police Staff from the Cybercrime Unit – for FREE.
They have a number of fully funded free webinars scheduled throughout the year.Â
Their cyber awareness sessions are approximately 1.5 hours (including questions).
From experience, your staff are more likely to learn by engaging them for the benefit of their personal lives, achieving behaviour change and then bringing that benefit back to the workplace.
As such, they pitch their sessions for their personal life, with explanation of their role in cyber security at work.
These sessions are for an everyday user, avoiding jargon where they can and avoiding technical complexity. They cover:
- Current Cyber Threats
- The motivation of cyber criminals
- Data Breaches
- Phishing
- Securing accounts – passwords and 2FA
- Improving our privacy online
- Securing devices
- Response Planning
- Cyber Drills
- Further learning
Home Educators, and those with children who are skilled or interested in cyber, may wish to check out their Educational Resources, Training or Careers pages for engaging activities, challenges and information to support their passion.
