In 1982, Liz qualified as a Registered Nurse, her career as a nurse started at Sue Ryder in Nettlebed, followed by a career in nursing as a Theatre Nurse, until her retirement in 2012. Having spent her life caring for people’s health and wellbeing, she wanted to find a way to continue to do this and enrolled on a course to train as an acupuncturist with the British Medical Association, deciding to increase her knowledge by taking a degree course in Integrated Chinese Medicine, qualifying in 2011.
In 2014 she returned to the Royal Berkshire Hospital’s Cancer Unit as Lead Complementary Therapist. ‘My Cancer My Choices’ was set up by Liz and a colleague, this runs as a clinic within the Cancer Unit and provides complementary therapies to patients undergoing treatments such as Chemotherapy and radiotherapy, later Liz joined Gemma’s team at Formula Health in Pangbourne, West Berkshire.
