Fresh from winning the award for Best Family Friendly Show 2025 at Brighton Fringe, and following worldwide success, Out of the Box is previewing at Arlington Arts, Newbury, before making its Edinburgh Fringe debut.
Out of the Box is a one-man family-friendly comedy show, packed with surprises as Darryl J Carrington and his circus in a box take you on a whirlwind of wonder!
Every time the box opens, audiences can expect a new adventure, beit trick shots, circus performances, or laugh-out-loud moments that invite everyone to join in the fun.
Carrington’s mission is to make the audience members the stars of the show, with gentle and accessible audience interaction (avoiding embarrassment), the show promises pure joy!
With gentle, non-verbal clowning, Carrington transforms everyday objects into the extraordinary – through seriously skilful silliness!
Out of the Box is suitable for families and circus and comedy lovers of all ages. Carrington states ‘this show is a joyous celebration of play throughout your life, whatever your age, bringing generations together.’
Out of the Box is performing at Arlington Arts Newbury, at 2pm on 23rd July, before heading up to Edinburgh Fringe.

They are on the site of Mary Hare School, please stick to the public areas (the auditorium, foyer, grass and smoking area to the left hand side of the venue entrance as you look at it).
Doors to the venue open an hour before the performance starts, with the bar starting service at the same time.
Doors to the auditorium usually open half an hour before a performance.
Tickets can be purchased from the box office (which is directly opposite the entrance doors) during opening hours (10am-4.30pm weekdays), as well as just before and during the show.
Their box office and bar accept both card and cash payments.
Please note that there is no cash machine on site.
