This space is designed to blend beautifully with the grounds and enhance the historic beauty of the 16th-century house.

Their playground is all about making sure that children of all abilities and ages can enjoy meaningful play together—whether they use wheelchairs, are neurodivergent, or are just little ones exploring!

They chose materials and prepared the ground carefully to respect the surrounding historic environment, ensuring everything is safe and durable.
Imagine a custom play area made of natural, high-grade timber that reflects traditional craftsmanship and works in harmony with the tree canopy and the lovely historic architecture.
Multi-Level Timber Fort & Climbing Tower:
At the heart of the playground stands a fantastic multi-gable timber structure.
With wide access points, climbing walls, steps, slides, and cozy lower-level spaces, it’s perfect for quiet, imaginative play.
Inclusive Flush-Mounted Roundabout:
Designed to sit flush with the ground, this roundabout ensures easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs, making group play super fun.
Sensory & Interactive Play
To ensure everyone can play year-round, they’ve installed a delightful seamless bonded rubber mulch surface in a lovely forest green tone.
Impact-Absorbing & Safe
Wheelchair & Pushchair Friendly: Unlike loose wood chips or gravel, the bonded rubber mulch provides a smooth, sturdy surface that’s a breeze for mobility devices.
Visually Blended: The earthy tone fits right in with the beautiful lawns and woodland backdrop.

Toddler Playhouse & Easy-Access Slide: Perfect for the little ones, this low-level timber house features wide steps, easy-grip handrails, and a double-width slide to help build confidence!
Basket / Nest Swing: An inclusive swing design that lets children needing extra support—or a few friends—swing together comfortably.
Balance & Agility Trail: They’ve added low-level balance beams, stepping logs, and slack lines throughout to encourage fun coordination and physical development.
