Monthly Pub Walk
Monthly Pub Walk

Join them for one of their monthly rambles across the picturesque Mapledurham countryside.

It’s a great way to meet new people and get some steps in at the same time.

Meet at the pub for 10am to enjoy some friendly chat, a brew and a bacon (or veggie) bap before setting off for 10:30am.

The walk is roughly 3 miles, with a terrain mix of paths, fields and woodland.

Which is accessible for most, and of course dog friendly.

On average the walk takes 1.5 hours to complete.

Joining them is free however, they do kindly ask for a small donation on arrival to go towards their chosen dog charity.

The Packhorse

Mapledurham is a quiet, rural village on the river Thames, hidden away down a steep, narrow lane.

The village formed part of the landscape of The Wind in the Willows, and if you visit you can appreciate how extraordinarily well author Kenneth Grahame has captured the essence and feel of the place.

You’ll find log fires burning, lots of cosy corners to lock yourself away, and a well stocked bar right at the heart of things.

Their chefs create delicious seasonally inspired menus in the style of modern British cookery, always including hearty pub classics as well as introducing something a little different, or a little lighter for all occasions.

They have a beautiful garden overlooking the local countryside, the perfect spot, they think to while away an afternoon
