Midgham is a small village of around 350 in the West Berkshire countryside in the Thames Valley of Southern England.

It is spread between several centres of population around the Church of St. Matthew’s, the Village Green, New Road Hill and the A4 Bath Road.

A small, scattered village, Midgham extends North from the Kennet & Avon canal across the old water meadows and into rolling farmland and woods.

Away from the Bath Road it is a place of leafy lanes, park land, some old -world cottages, a village green and a fine Victorian church on its hill with views over much of the Kennet Valley.

It is a village and civil parish occupying slopes and the flood plain on the north side of the River Kennet.

It is centred 6 miles east of Newbury and 2 miles east of Thatcham. The north of the parish is 4.5 miles south of the M4 motorway.

Within a three minute walk you are in the village of Woolhampton which has a number of shops, pubs & restaurants.

A seven minute walk will take you to a mainline station, serving London Paddington, and the excellent Rowbarge pub & restaurant.

Add to this Midgham has miles of countryside and canal side walks on its doorstep, is roughly equidistant between Reading and Newbury, junction 12 of the M4 is a 10 minute drive.
