Join Zen Fitness with Rachel for fun, friendly and welcomingexercise classes for older adults or those looking for gentle exercise.
Tai Chi QiGong can be practiced standing or seated and gently benefits flexibility, stability, balance and provides a release to stress through active relaxation.
Times: 1pm and 3pm
Zumba Gold is fun exercise to music that you can do at you rown pace to help you get and keep fit.
Benefits include cardiovascular health,muscle conditioning and flexibility.
Time: 2pm
Drop in and try a taster class for free.
Classes from £6 per session with a class pack, or £8 per session for pay as you go.
Friday Morning Yoga
Join Sarah on a Friday morning session.
Sarah has been practising and studying yoga for 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience about yoga, the Chakra system, and alternative medicine and healing.
Sarah began her yoga journey at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in London and at the Yoga Biomedical Trust and have studied with a whole range and variety of teachers since.
In 2021 she completed two trainings with Birthright: CPD Yoga for Resolving Diastasis Recti, and Postnatal CPD – Progressive Twists and Balances.
Sarah’s particular interest in Yoga Therapy is heavily influenced by the work of the late Mukunda Stiles, and shares with the class his Joint-Freeing Series, which is the simplest of practices, appropriate for all ages and levels of experience, and life-changing in its ability to free the body and make it more supple and alive.
This class is run by Kingsclere Village Club.
Yoga with Isabel
Isobel teaches regularly in Newbury and surrounding areas, for private clients, gyms, health spas, special needs groups and Mental Health Charities.
The class at Kingsclere Village Club has a maximum of 12 participants, and is friendly, gentle but challenging and deeply relaxing.Â
This class is run by the Village Club, and follows the Hampshire school term dates.
Chair Pillates
Do you have standing/mobility problems?
Try this gentle but effective class with teacher Paula Chandler.
Chairobics is a mainly seated exercise class to increase muscle strength and endurance with some standing work to help your balance and stability .
Thursdays 1.30- 2.30 pm.
Cost £88 ( 11 sessions)
Local History Association
They host monthly meetings with guest speakers on varying interesting historical topics from September to March (Main Hall) usually on the third Thursday of the month, 7.30pm to 9.00pm.
Visitors always welcome for a small admission fee.
Their small team of archivists meet in the Holding Room most Monday afternoons 2pm – 4pm during the year, cataloguing and sorting an increasing collection of material for the Kingsclere Village Archives.
Visitors and new material welcome.
Keep Fit
Mondays 9.30am to 10.30am, term time only (Main Hall)
A low impact exercise class using Aerobic and Latino dance moves.
Followed by toning exercises including Pilates.
Pay as you go at £5 a session, or 10 sessions in advance for £40.
Parish Paths Group
They are a friendly group of volunteers who generally meet up on the last Sunday of every month.
Their aim is to keep rights of way open to the public.
With financial help from Hampshire County Council they clear vegetation and re-build stiles, kissing gates and footpath surfaces.
They always looking for new volunteers to help and so please go along and help them to keep the local footpaths accessible for all you enjoy.
Kingsclere and Headley Woodlands WI
2nd Weds of the month, 1.30pm to 3.30pm throughout the year (Main Hall)
At their monthly meetings they have guest speakers, discussion forums and social events.
They also organise days out for members and their guests.

Coffee and Craft
Autumn sessions start on Monday, 9th September 10am to 1pm.
Bring your own project to work on, just £24 for the first half term (7 weeks).
You can also participate in a variety of workshops and learn new crafts (additional fee payable).
Iyengar Yoga
Tuesdays 7:30pm to 9.00pm, term time only (Main Hall)
Iyengar yoga focusses on detail, precision and alignment of poses to develop develop strength, mobility and stability.
This class is follows the Hampshire school term dates, and students are asked to pre-pay for the term.
Prices varies slightly each term owing to fluctuations in the number of weeks in the school term, but are kept as low as possible.
Yoga with Rachel Eaton
Wednesday mornings 10.00- 11.00 Term time only (Main Hall)
The class teacher is Rachel Eaton. Rachel says:-
“I qualified with a distinction from the British School of Yoga Qualified Yoga Instructor and has been teaching for over 4 years. Style of yoga is hatha with flows.
Yoga postures work on improving core, pelvic floor, flexibility, strength and opening tight hips and shoulders.
Therapeutic poses to help with stimulating circulation, thyroid, managing menopause symptoms, menstrual pains and other ailments.
Have worked with clients who have had plantar fasciitis, rheumatism, arthritis and general body fatigue.
Clients include keen cyclists and equestrians to ease tight muscles.
Also like to help with therapeutic issues – stress, tension, depression, malaise and kick start gently peoples’ foray into exercise.
Yoga for her complements their busy, stressful lifestyles and helps balance our bodies and minds.
I tailor the classes to suit the people in it and offer different levels for the postures.
I also incorporate other influences .. for example Somatics.
I like to feel that we are constantly learning and growing.
I teach to music and incorporate time at the end of relaxation and contemplation with the help of a singing bowl and sounds of the sea.
Our group in Kingsclere is friendly and supportive and welcome new people to our class.”
Gardening Associatio
Second Thursday of the month, 7.45pm to 9.30pm Oct to March (Main Hall), except December which is the first Thursday of the month.
They are a friendly group of gardeners.
In addition to their monthly meetings, they have shows in the months of April, July and August.
Moo Music
hursday mornings
Interactive and fun music sessions for 0-5 year olds.
Go along and sing, moove, play and learn whilst having fun.
9.50- 10.30 children walking to those 5 years old
11.00-11.40 babies to those walking.
Photo Club
Normally the first Weds of each month, 7.45pm to 9.45pm
They are a small, friendly, grass-roots camera club for people interested in sharing and improving their picture taking without getting too technical or competitive.
They have a darkroom for Black & White printing,
They hold an annual exhibition of members’ work.

Village Bunnies Toddler Group
Tuesdays 9.00am to 11.00am, throughout the year (Main Hall)
Village Bunnies-A friendly group of parents and carers providing indoor and outdoor activities for the children, with a dedicated baby area equipped with changing mats, toys and bouncy chairs.
Pay as you go £2.00 per family
