Ladies & Gents, From 27th August 2022, Henry & Joe’s will close it doors for the final time.

After 5 wonderful years we have taken the decision not to renew our lease at 17 Cheap Street. For many this may come as a surprise, however rest assured this was never a decision made lightly.

For Many of you, like us, our restaurant has been a home away from home. A place where we have all shared many fond memories and joyous occasions together – for all the support you have shown us over the years, we cannot THANK YOU enough.

For those who have made reservations after this date, we will not be able to fulfil these reservations, however Joe will be in touch to TRY and provide you an alternative date. Please note this cannot be guaranteed, although we will do our upmost.

For those of you with vouchers yet to be used at the restaurant, We ask that you get in touch with us directly as soon a possible, so we can honour these vouchers. It is Important to note that these vouchers are non refundable. And as of 12th April, vouchers are no longer available.

For those of you with upcoming reservations between now and the end of august, we look forward welcoming you in the traditional H & J way.

What started as a shared dream discussed at length over coffee and cigarettes in a shed at the Royal Oak in Yattendon, has now become their reality.

After refining their craft from for years in back street pubs to Michelin star restaurants – they opened Henry and Joes @ 17 Cheap Street in November 2017 and have been blessed by the continuing support of Newbury since. Being 2 lads who have grown up in this town, they are proud to be part of the social fabric that makes up this wonderfully diverse community. Any and all are welcome at Henry and Joes and they pride themselves on delivering top quality, inspired and refined dining, accompanied by service to put the customers at ease and to make them feel like they are at home  – they want dining with them to be a truly memorable experience.

They use the best produce we can source using the seasons as their guidelines for their inspiration. Nothing complicated or extravagant, nothing careless or rushed, just food you’ll want to eat, served in a manner you should expect. They constantly evolve their dishes to enhance your experience each time you step through the door, offering an ever changing lunch and supper menu and a set monthly tasting menu.
