Hampstead Norreys Community Shop | West Berkshire Villages
The shop is in the centre of the award-winning village of Hampstead Norreys,
runner-up in Channel 4’s ‘Village of the Year’ competition, 2018.
The shop featured heavily in the television programme – we welcomed Penelope Keith
(To the Manor Born) and Patrick Grant (Great British Sewing Bee)
who described the shop as ‘the beating heart of this village’. Hampstead Norreys Community Shop has everything you would hope to find in a village shop, and much, much more. They aim to keep ahead of national trends and were stocking Heavenly Chocolate months before it appeared on Dragon’s Den!
Groceries, deli items, fresh meat, fruit, vegetables and ambient products.
Frozen food and ice creams, including ‘Jude’s’. A wide selection of drinks, both alcoholic and ‘soft’. Cleaning and household goods
Firewood and kindling. Cigarettes and tobacco, newspapers, magazines, comics
Greetings cards, stamps and a small supply of stationery
Eco-friendly products and gifts.
Food from the menu is served from 8:30am to 2:30pm Monday to Saturday and 9:00am to noon (last orders 11:30am) on Sunday, but cold food from the deli counter (delicious salads, home-made quiches, frittatas, etc.) is available all day.
In addition, they offer a range of home-made cakes and other delicious goodies to go with barista coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. There is a wide range of food for vegetarians and many of the options on the menu can be vegan.
