Hampstead Norreys Community Shop Orchard all began with a conversation at GreenFest in 2019.

Wouldn’t it be great, they thought, to have their own shop orchard, providing fresh fruit for the café and for sale.

And from there, the original idea (and the trees!) have grown.

Over 80 heritage trees, on private land that belongs to the Betts family (thank you!), cared for by a group of volunteers headed by Vanessa.

Hampstead Norreys Community Shop is  an award-winning independent shop and café – they won ‘Best rural shop in Britain’ in 2019 and many other awards!

They stock essential and speciality groceries, and champion sustainable and locally-made products.

And they have delicious home-made food, barista coffee, etc.
