Maverley’s calendar is filled with exciting events all year round.

From foraging workshops and creative classes to rejuvenating wellness sessions and seasonal supper clubs, there’s something for everyone.

Whether you want to learn, unwind, or celebrate, Malverleys offers memorable experiences year-round.

Step into the beauty of Malverley’s this season with their Garden Tours.

Famously spotlighted in 2025 by Joe Swift & Rachel de Thame in a special episode of Gardener’s World, they’re opening up their gardens again for tours from May to September 2026.

Explore over ten acres of meticulously designed gardens, created by head gardener Mat Reese and the owners, inspired by iconic English gardens such as Great Dixter and the writings of Christopher Lloyd, William Robinson, and Vita Sackville-West.

Wander through distinctive garden “rooms,” long borders, and vibrant flower meadows.

The second half of the tour includes a guided walk with Head Gardener Ollie through their Market Gardens, where seasonal produce is grown for their main kitchen and used in dishes across their menus.

Afterward, enjoy afternoon tea in the Barn, complete with cakes, pastries, sandwiches, and a selection of teas, coffee, and soft drinks.

Discover the full beauty of Malverleys, a garden experience not to be missed.

Malverleys Farm & Dining

Malverleys Farm & Dining is a shop, deli and restaurant set on the edge of the picturesque Wessex Downs, just outside of Newbury.

The Malverleys story is one of people, place and purpose coming together to create something quite special.

Emily von Opel’s vision for Malverleys was born out of a lifelong love of the countryside and gardens, and a sincere wish to offer the wider community an opportunity to enjoy the benefits a small farm and local business can provide.

Through Emily’s enthusiasm, and with the help of a dedicated team, Malverleys Farm and Dining is a celebration of wholesome produce and seasonal cooking.

Guests can enjoy a restaurant, deli, shop and lecture room set on a farm in the idyllic countryside.

Their menus are shaped by the seasons and the traditional cooking of France and Italy.

They offer a versatile space for the local community to meet with friends, enjoy wholesome food within the relaxed setting.

Above all, they want guests to have memorable experiences and find a true sense of community.

The food from their kitchen is thoughtfully prepared, but simply presented.

Their menu takes inspiration from the country cooking of France and Italy, and reflects the bounty of their garden, the seasons and their home in the South of England.

They’re thrilled to be able to offer their guests a full and delicious bakery counter from Wednesday to Sunday.

Each item is lovingly mixed, kneaded, laminated, proved and baked on site, using thoughtfully sourced ingredients.

On the bakery counter you’ll find country sourdough, croissants, pain au chocolat, almond cakes, Danishes and cookies.

They’re also currently serving soup with bread and butter, as well as delicious sandwiches made with homemade focaccia or baguettes.

There is also a small shop…..
