Join Turkish cookery writer, Ozlem for a hands – on cooking experience where you’ll cook with different ingredients like tahini to zahtaar, combinations and techniques of this cuisine can be used to elevate your everyday dishes.

The South – eastern region of Turkey is renowned for its cuisine and generous hospitality.

Step into vibrant kitchens of this region, where spices tell stories and meals bring people together.

You will learn to balance spice, sweetness and smoke as you prepare signature dishes using meat, hearty legumes, spices and how these staple ingredients create the balance of earthiness and comfort that defines South – eastern Turkish cooking.

 You will learn to cook:

 

Sumak Salata – Turkish salad made from fresh tomatoes, onions, pomegranate molasses and spices

Humus – Green chilies, fresh herbs and lemon humus variations and toppings

Sömelek köfte – Bulgur and lamb meatballs boiled then sautéed in a buttery tomato and red pepper sauce. 

Zahter pide – Small flat bread topped with thyme, olive oil and herbs
