Community United Festival of Light
The Diwali Festival of Light featuring traditional food, music, dance performances, rangoli, and fashion is organised by Community United – West Berkshire in collaboration with local councils and groups.
It is an event to promote inclusion, share Indian heritage, and reduce community isolation through the celebration of light over darkness.
Community United is independent, not-for-profit, non-partisan, and community-based.
They have a diverse multi-cultural leadership focusing on making a positive difference in the lives of the cultural, ethnic and diaspora communities, large and small, who live and work in our area.
They are funded primarily by grants and donations, and they rely on volunteer input to deliver their services.
