Charging Points
West Berkshire Council Charging Points
Their charge point bollards are conveniently located at the front of the footway, drawing electricity from a nearby lamppost so you can easily connect your charging cable.
You can use a standard charging cable with their charge points.Â
Each charge point comes with straightforward instructions for charging your vehicle.
These residential charging bollards can charge your vehicle at speeds of up to 5.2kW, making them perfect for overnight charging.
The exact charging time varies based on your vehicle’s battery size and its remaining charge.
To estimate your charging time, simply divide the battery size or available capacity by the charge point rating.
For example, if you have an empty 40kWh battery, it will take about eight hours to charge at one of our charge points.Â
With their Pay as You Go access for on-street charging, it costs £0.49 per kWh during standard hours (7pm to 4pm) and £0.85 per kWh during peak times (4pm to 7pm).
In partnership with Ubitricity, they’re excited to announce plans to supply, install, and manage up to 250 additional on-street charge points in West Berkshire over the next four years, helping residents make the switch to electric vehicles.
They’re on the lookout for new locations and aim to ensure extensive coverage throughout the district.
