Many of the show’s scenes at Buckingham House (now known as Buckingham Palace) were filmed at Blenheim Palace – including the key dining moment between young Queen Charlotte and King George, and the famous Water Terraces which were magically transformed into the enchanting outdoor space where the final ball takes place.
The space was filled with incredible dancers and courtiers for the scene from Episode 6.
Blenheim Palace was the ideal choice as Buckingham House, due to its real-life connections with Queen Charlotte and King George lll.
The duo shared a close friendship with the 4th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, and after their visit to Blenheim Palace, they were so inspired that they embarked on renovating Buckingham House.
