Ballet
Reuben, their Co-Director, grew up dancing in multiple Boys Dance Groups across Berkshire and Hampshire, such as Explosive and Nuclear Boys Company at Trinity School in Newbury, as well as WISE Boys Dance Company through Corn Exchange Newbury.
He was also a part of Zoielogic Dance Theatre’s FuzzyLogic Male Youth Dance Company for 10 years!
He had many opportunities to perform at various youth dance platforms across the country such as U Dance National Festival, BBC Dance Passion, ManMade and many, many more.
Their Original BP Boys leader, Sarah, took part in an apprenticeship scheme with The Dance Movement to deliver boys dance projects in 2017.
Following the close of TDM, Sarah continued the legacy of the boys dance programme and now unites the classes with Boogie Pumps.
BP boys aimed to inspire lads to dance, with weekly classes hosted by two secondary schools, and online Zoom.
Classes focus on performance, fitness, contemporary dance techniques and improvisation.

Reuben now aspires to bring the legacy of Boogie Pumps Boys to Newbury and continue to use all of his teaching experience and passion for getting men and boys dancing to build a community where boys can engage with Performing Arts.
Ballet
They offer Ballet classes to all ages, from babies to adults!
Their baby ballet classes are designed for 2-4 year olds and are full of excitement and fun.
They believe in teaching children ballet through imagination and games.
Wands, wings and fairy things, cloaks, boats and pirates who sing!
For slightly older children they teach them to understand ballet basics whilst learning rhythm, coordination and flexibility.
They keep their lessons fun and fresh by teaching routines to pop songs and using props.
At Boogie Pumps they also offer Ballet classes for adults of all levels, from complete beginners to those with previous experience!
Their classes are designed to be welcoming, engaging, and energising, with a focus on building confidence as well as technique.

Boogie Pumps staff are special and are carefully selected based on experience and the way in which they relate to the kids.
Our staff are so much fun it’s infectious but still maintain a professional and safe environment.
All staff hold relevant qualifications, have plenty of experience and are DBS Checked.

At a Boogie Pumps show it’s like one big party, one which includes the audience.
They focus on involvement and confidence more than perfection, an attitude that they believe has helped to create some amazing unforgettable moments on stage for their kids.
