Don't forget to stop by their cafe and refuel before continuing your adventures! For families there is a wide variety of activities to suit all ages, there's something for everyone. Take a stroll along the woodland walk and discover the wild play trail - perfect for little adventurers! Here you'll find balance beams, hopscotch and even a ball run. And if building dens is more your thing, there's plenty of space for that too! Just remember to leave balls, bikes, and scooters at home. Baby-changing facilities are available, and the gardens are buggy-friendly (though the parkland may have uneven ground). Hot and cold drinks and snacks are available, and there's even a shop where you can pick up children's books and toys.

Dogs

You’ll be able to take your dog into some areas, but not everywhere. You can have a cup of tea with your four-legged friend inside and outside of the tearoom, and dogs are welcome in the shop.

Accessibility
It's a 400-yard walk uphill to the house – a visitor buggy is available. House entrance is up 22 steps. Accessible toilets available. Uneven terrain on walking routes, which can become muddy. There's cattle in the parkland.
Toolshed kiosk
The Toolshed kiosk in the Stableyard is usually open at weekends and during school holidays, serving drinks and light refreshments to grab and go.
Places to Picnic
There are plenty of spaces for you to enjoy a picnic.
The front lawn is an ideal, spacious place to lounge on or, for rainier days, there are some covered picnic huts near the Stableyard.
If you’re feeling in the mood for a more adventurous spot for your picnic, why not find a secluded space along one of the four waymarked walks?
There are several benches dotted around or bring a picnic rug with you to enjoy your al fresco lunch.
