Balance Blood Sugar with Easy Protein Breakfasts
Balance Blood Sugar
Balance Blood Sugar

Eating protein for breakfast rather than toast with jam or marmite, balances your blood sugar and prevents it continuing to roller coaster up and down over the day.

This gives us lasting energy and concentration and prevents mid morning sugar cravings.

Egg muffins are a perfect start to the day.

You can batch cook and freeze, and they are really portable.

Feel free to add your own ingredients to adapt them to your way of eating, veggie or meat eaters.

Other easy protein breakfasts include:

  • Cottage cheese and natural yoghurt with berries and seeds
  • Nut butter on wholemeal seeded toast
  • Eggs and avocado with salmon or tuna
  • Porridge with nut butter or nuts and seeds

Many people rely on something sweet to start the day such as porridge with honey or granola with dried fruit.

This is often because their blood sugar has dipped too low over night.

Eating protein breaks the sugar habit and helps keep you fuller for longer
