Arlington Arts Centre’s 20th Anniversary programme of events is now on sale, featuring an eclectic and talented mix of live music, comedy and theatre.
As West Berkshire’s premier live music venue, September kicks off with returning Tribute acts Live/Wire: The AC/DC Show (04th September) and The Alter Eagles (11th September) while October features two of the top UK Blues Rock acts in When Rivers Meet (01st October) and The Cinelli Brothers (03rd October).
Folk fans cannot miss the legendary Dervish (21st October) – one of Ireland’s best known traditional bands and have been described by the BBC as “an icon of Irish music”.
As always, up and coming original musicians are the cornerstone of the Arlington Arts programme with the likes of Hannah Wicklund (09th October), Alice Armstrong (12th November) and Demi Marriner (04th December, on sale date TBC) performing at the arts centre.
Not forgetting the pure vocal magic of the UK’s premier a capella group Sons of Pitches (17th October).
Fancy a laugh?
There’s something for you no matter your sense of humour, whether it’s the internet sensation Alasdair Beckett-King (26th September), the experienced wit of Ian Stone (31st October), or the anecdotal Lucy Porter (21st November). If you’re looking for something completely unique then check out the cult hit event Solve-Along-A-Murder, She Wrote (22nd November).
Fans of musical theatre can prepare to get rocked as Looking Glass Theatre unleashes the electrifying power of Queen in We Will Rock You (18-20th September). Those entertained by Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde earlier this year can get excited about the return of Brother Wolf for their production of A Christmas Carol – As Told By Jacob Marley (Deceased) (13th November).
Ballet Theatre UK return for their annual festive performance with a beautiful re-telling of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale The Snow Queen (18th & 19th December).
Children and parents alike can look forward to a bubble magic performance containing a range of bubble effects, from small, delicate shapes to giant bubbles, with gentle audience interaction throughout with Bubblina (28th October).
Not to mention the most Christmassy Christmas show as Honalee Media presents Santa’s Best Ever Christmas (22nd December).
As well as this special lineup, Arlington Arts Centre have launched a Creative Writing Competition for budding storytellers of all ages.
Tickets can be purchased from the Arlington Arts Centre website at any time or from the box office, in person or over the phone, during opening hours (10am-4.30pm weekdays).
There is a £1 booking fee per ticket for orders online and over the phone.

They are on the site of Mary Hare School, please stick to the public areas (the auditorium, foyer, grass and smoking area to the left hand side of the venue entrance as you look at it).
Doors to the venue open an hour before the performance starts, with the bar starting service at the same time.
Doors to the auditorium usually open half an hour before a performance.
Tickets can be purchased from the box office (which is directly opposite the entrance doors) during opening hours (10am-4.30pm weekdays), as well as just before and during the show.
Their box office and bar accept both card and cash payments.
