2021 sees the return of our Wokingham Winter Carnival on Sunday 28 November, subject to Covid restrictions, but sadly this will not include the Parade. With around 80 stalls, allowing for social distancing between them, funfair rides that will be fenced in with entrance and exits and performances taking place in Peach Place there will be lots to do and see. You’ll also see many more marshals around this year to avoid any bottlenecks in areas around the Carnival.
And at the end of the day we’ll have the switching on of the Christmas tree lights with carol singing led by the Mayor’s Chaplain. So, put Sunday 28 November in your diary and keep an eye on our Facebook page for more updates and information. We look forward to seeing you there. In the meantime stay safe, stay alert, control the virus, save lives
Wokingham Winter Carnival is a FUN day out for the whole family. The town is closed to traffic for the day so children can join in the fun in a totally safe environment. There’s a whole host of street entertainers, music, singing, dancing and the fun of the fair with loads of different rides, whether you’re young or old. Santa will be in his grotto at the library and for lunch there are stalls offering an amazing choice of food and drink.
There are stalls selling gifts too, so why not get your Christmas shopping sorted?
We are sad to announce that we cannot run our parade this year, due to the current restrictions still in place. This only means it will be back in 2022. Bigger and better!
