The World of Peter Rabbit TM- Storytime Trail

SATURDAY 30TH JUL 2022 — SUNDAY 25TH SEP 2022, THE BASE GALLERY

The World of Peter Rabbit™Storytime Trail opens on Saturday, with a special walk-through experience for families to enjoy and it continues until Sunday, September 25.

Celebrate a very special rabbit’s 120th birthday with The Base as families immerse themselves in The Tale of Peter Rabbit in this magical walk-through experience.

Little bunnies will be able to crawl under the garden gate, hide in a watering can and see their reflection in a mirror pool, just like Peter Rabbit, as well as getting involved with plenty of photo opportunities and craft activities along the way!

The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter was first published by Frederick Warne & Co. (now part of Penguin Random House UK) in 1902. The World of Peter Rabbit™ will be celebrating 120 years of mischief throughout 2022.

In celebration of the anniversary, Frederick Warne & Co. are pleased to present The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail, a walk-through experience where visitors will be able to immerse themselves in The Tale of Peter Rabbit.

Peter Rabbit

The adventures of Peter Rabbit and his friends, inspired by Beatrix Potter’s love of nature, continue to delight generations of children around the world.

Helen Beatrix is born on 28th July in Kensington, London.

Beatrix sends a picture letter to her former governess’ son Noel, which tells the story of a mischievous rabbit called Peter.

Following multiple rejections by publishers and Beatrix’s own privately printed editions, The Tale of Peter Rabbit is first officially published by Frederick Warne & Co.

Beatrix makes a Peter Rabbit doll and registers it at the Patent Office, launching the first in a long line of official products!

Beatrix purchases Hill Top Farm, in Sawrey, near Windermere following the sudden death of her fiancé and editor Norman Warne. She wrote many of her Tales whilst living here.

Beatrix leaves all of her land to the National Trust and is survived by her husband William Heelis.

A fun, family attraction bringing favourite characters to life in an enchanting recreation of Beatrix Potter’s best-loved stories.

The legacy of Beatrix Potter, starring Renée Zellweger and Ewan McGregor, is retold for the big screen.

A birthday celebration for Peter Rabbit. 2022 marks 120 years since The Tale of Peter Rabbit was first officially published. Visit the official website
