Online Music Club presents
Dave Starke

Wednesday, August 25, 2021
Starts 8:00pm (UK Time)
GSMC Online Music Club
We are delighted to have excellent singer song writer Dave Starke performing live from South Africa at our Online Music Club again. Dave Starke is a South African singer-songwriter who strives to capture human moments in musical form – to sum up a whole host of thoughts and emotions using just his voice and a guitar. He describes a guitar as “nothing more than a wooden box with strings, tensioned to near breaking point – it’s fundamental, honest and often scary and it’s a good metaphor for the human experience…”

Gavin Thomas – Songs from the Summer House

Saturday 28th August
Starts 8:00pm
Songs from the Summer House
On Monday 23rd March 2020 the United Kingdom went into lockdown because of Covid-19 and the coronavirus pandemic. Gavin decided to keep on playing his regular Tuesday and Saturday night gigs – the only difference is that he’s now playing from a small wooden summer house in his garden. The shows are filmed by webcam, and are broadcast simultaneously across the globe on Facebook Live. To take part in these events (every Tuesday and Saturday evenings from 8.00pm) just tune in to Gavin’s Facebook page. Songs From The Summer House are all interactive music nights, and you will be able to message Gavin live during the shows to make song requests and comments etc
