Discovering Music Together

We have a jam packed, fun filled week of live music coming up this week, starting with the Acoustic Café at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst tonight with the Velveteen Orkestra, Marc Woosnam, Moonlight Foxes, Steve Warner & Tony Brown. New Music Tuesday this week features Punk Dylan, Matt Hall, Andy Lavery and we have one slot still available. Just Genesis perform the music of Genesis at The Couch, Bracknell on Thursday and Christmas at the Coach House continues with party band Evolution at South Hill Park Arts Centre.

The GSMC Online Music Club continues this week for those people at home or overseas back in Lockdown with Dragonfly Sky (Wednesday), John Jenkins(Friday), Matt Hall (Saturday), and Jenny Colquitt (Sunday).

Big thanks to the hundreds of  people that voted on the 1st day of the GSMC Music Awards yesterday with over 3,000 votes cast by hundreds of people worldwide, voting closes on 31st December.

GSMC Online Music Club presents
Dragonfly Sky
Wednesday 8th December

We are delighted that Dragonfly Sky will be performing at our Online Music Club on Wednesday 8th December at 8pm. Dragonfly Sky are an engaging acoustic duo based in Surrey. Chris and Amy perform originals and covers in their own unique style. They are writers of well crafted, atmospheric songs, with mellifluous harmonies; you will be drifting through a heady mix of light and dark shades. With an extensive repertoire of songs; their performances create atmospheres of both joy and intensity and you are guaranteed to be gripped from beginning to end.

Tribute to the music of Genesis

Just Genesis are a tribute to the hugely popular British prog-rock band, Genesis, concentrating on the period 1975 to 2007, during which Phil Collins was the lead singer, covering their many hits including Turn It On Again, Mama, Invisible Touch, Land of Confusion, Follow You Follow Me, and I Can’t Dance, along with many more.

Online Music Club presents
Matt Hall
Saturday 11th December

Matt Hall will be performing at the GSMC Online Music Club on Saturday 11th December  at 8pm. Matt Hall, Singer songwriter from Bracknell. Writes songs with deep meaningful lyrics, plays a mixture of originals and covers and was Awarded Best Showcase Artist at this year’s GSMC Music Awards.

John Jenkins

John Jenkins is a Liverpool Singer Songwriter who performs either solo or with his bands “John Jenkins and The James Street Band” or a smaller acoustic outfit . A firm favourite on the Local original live music scene, he has received much praise for his songs and their range of diversity. He is also a Broadcaster of Americana Blues Country and Folk Music at Vintage Radio. His latest Album “Growing Old – Songs from My Front Porch” has received amazing reviews. He signed to “Fretsore Records” in January 2021.

Jenny Colquitt is a singer, songwriter, musician and citizen of North West, United Kingdom. Jenny began writing music in her early teens and from there she has played many venues and spread her music far and wide. In 2016 she released her debut E.P. titled ‘The Quiet kind’. Jenny also run a successful YouTube Channel under her name in which she post weekly videos with a mixture of cover songs and original works
