We have another great week of live music coming up from GSMC with The Lost Trades performing at The Couch, Bracknell on Thursday with guests the Gillies and Mandy Woods. Ajay Srivastav performs at the Printers Playhouse, Eastbourne on Saturday with support from Marc Woosnam. Also on Saturday BR James will be performing at South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell with support from Cloud Cat & Linda Colegate.

Our weekly Acoustic Café showcase takes place at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst tonight (Monday) followed by New Music Tuesday at The Couch, Bracknell, Michael Tuffery (Wednesday) and Jenny Colquitt (Sunday) at the GSMC Online Music Club and don’t forget to listen to our weekly GSMC New Music Spotify Playlist featuring 20 artists you probably haven’t come across before.

The Lost Trades

The Lost Trades are a trio of Wiltshire based singer songwriters (Jamie R Hawkins, Phil Cooper and Tamsin Quin) who, brought together by a mutual love of folk and roots music, have joined forces for a three part harmony, modern folk adventure. Performing both collectively and individually penned songs, The Lost Trades tell carefully crafted stories using an array of stringed instruments and light percussion, all lovingly stitched together with soaring vocal harmonies.
 
The Gillies are an Americana, Folk singer/songwriter duo from SE London. Their music tells of love, loss, bittersweet and harsh realities, the distinctive sound of their acoustic guitars create an intense lonesome dark musical style.
 
A seasoned writer and performer in both Europe and America, Mandy Woods has spent most of her adult life giving in to wanderlust and crafting songs. The Gillies are an Americana, Folk singer/songwriter duo from SE London. Their music tells of love, loss, bittersweet and harsh realities, the distinctive sound of their acoustic guitars create an intense lonesome dark musical style. A seasoned writer and performer in both Europe and America, Mandy Woods has spent most of her adult life giving in to wanderlust and crafting songs.

Ajay Srivastav is a London based singer songwriter who plays a genre-bending mix of Indian Folk, Blues and Americana with lyrics that explore issues of identity, loss and spirituality. In an age of cultural division and societal conflict, his performances have been described as passionate, healing and uplifting. Plus support from Marc Woosnam.

The line up for the Acoustic Café Showcase at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst on Monday 11th October will feature comedy songs from Dave Mann, folk & americana from Tomorrow Bird and Surrey based singer and songwriter Vic Cracknell, Michael Tuffery & Paul Gelsthorpe, starts 7.30pm, admission free.

Our New Music Tuesday at The Acoustic Couch, Bracknell on 12th October will feature Reading based Pop/Rock band Daed Men, Coalition 441 featuring Vic Cracknell, Neil Wells &  Francis Greene. Nostalgic acoustic duo Jezell. Originally from Italy, EB is a young singer-songwriter who writes songs inspired by the blues of the origins and the folk of the 60s.Starts 8pm admission £5.00.

Jenny Colquitt is a singer, songwriter, musician and citizen of North West, United Kingdom. Jenny began writing music in her early teens and from there she has played many venues and spread her music far and wide. In 2016 she released her debut E.P. titled ‘The Quiet kind’. Jenny also run a successful YouTube Channel under her name in which she post weekly videos with a mixture of cover songs and original works
