The Cunning Man
The pub’s name comes from a local legend of a ‘cunning man’ – a good wizard who would help to protect people from dark spirits and witches. The original building was destroyed following repeated flooding, however the newly re-built pub-restaurant has been impressively restored in its original style – complete with thatched roof.
The menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal spring dishes, and they will be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste – which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by their crackling log fires.
The food they love to eat, is the food they love to serve. So whether it’s a traditional Sunday roast or one of the new seasonal dishes, they are sure there’s something for everyone to enjoy at The Cunning Man.
And to complement our delicious pub food, we’ve a wonderful array of fine wines, real ales, soft drinks and spirits.
there is a good selection of vegan dishes and it is a dog friendly pub.
